Girl, 12, left with 68 pieces of shotgun shell embedded in her face after accidentally being shot by younger brother

Zhang Qin, from Liangping, left, was blinded in one eye after her face was accidentally peppered with little pieces of metal bullets by her brother. Zhang’s father rushed her to several hospitals but they all refused to help, saying that removing the metal shots would be very risky. Zhang has now been left with scarring on her face and has refused to go back to school. This X-ray image, right, shows the metal shots which have been embedded in the youngster’s skull.
