Father-of-four killed by swarm of bees while mowing his lawn

A  65-year-old man was stung to death by bees while moving his lawn in  Texas.

Juan Urritta collapsed and was unable to breathe after being surrounded by the swarm of bees.

Family members said the father of four’s airwaves closed up due to the vast number of stings.

A 65-year-old Juan Urrita was attacked and killed by a  swarm of bees.

His brother, Frank, was able to call 911 but doctors were unable to save the recently retired father.

Leticia Arceneaux, Urrita’s niece, said her father spoke to her about the  tragedy.

“When I  get there to see my father, he says that the doctor just told him that his brother did not make it, that he was stung so many times that it closed his airwaves,” she said.

Urrita  was on a riding mower at his home in Bexar County, Texas, when he was attacked

Officials believe the noise of lawn mover aggravated a hive at a  nearby empty house.

Urrita was mowing his lawn when bees from this hive  swarmed him, severely stinging him, and left him unable to breath.

Urrita’s niece recalled what she was told at the  hospital: ‘When I get there to see my father, he says that the doctor just told  him that his brother did not make it, that he was stung so many times that it  closed his airwaves,” she said.
