A 15-year-old boy from Weare was charged with second-degree assault Saturday after allegedly stabbing his older brother, police said.
Police were called to a home on Woodfern Road at about 3 p.m. Saturday for a report of a fight in progress with one person stabbed. When officers arrived, they learned that two brothers had been in a fight. Family members said the two were fighting about a pile of tires on the front yard when the 15-year-old pulled out a pocket knife.
The victim, who is 20 years old, was taken to Concord Hospital where he was treated for a cut to his back. He was listed in good condition Saturday night.
The 15-year-old was taken into custody and placed outside the home
