A womb with a view: Spectacular photos show tiny animal embryos before birth

Breathtaking images of mammals in the womb give an unparalleled glimpse into a world few of us would ever expect to see. They were captured for a National Geographic documentary by using a combination of three-dimensional ultrasound scans, computer graphics and small cameras to document the animals’ development from conception to birth.
