Woman donates kidney to her former mother-in-law… to make up for divorcing her son

Erica Arsenault (right), from Fitchburg, Massachusetts, decided to donate her kidney to Dorothy Wolferseder, 73, (left) to apologise for the hurt she had caused her for divorcing her son eight years ago. After noticing relatives were appealing for a kidney donor for Dorothy on Facebook, Erica immediately contacted the family to say she wanted to see if she was a match. It turned out that she was – and she is now covering from the successful surgery.
