Man, whose mugshot in no way suggests he is super high, arrested for vandalizing a police car

A man was booked into Sacramento County Jail after officers said he damaged equipment in a police car.

Sacramento police said Robert Strasser, 28, appeared to be flagging down passing cars in at 37th and Y streets about 4 p.m. Thursday. The area in Oak Park is known to have been the site of drug sales in the past, police said.

When officers approached Strasser, he began to walk away. Eventually, he was stopped and officers determined he was a parolee in possession of drug paraphernalia.

It was during a ride to jail that Strasser allegedly ripped out a camera cable in the back of the police car. He was booked into jail on suspicion of vandalism and violation of parole.
