Mom ‘took nude photos of her daughter, 13, to send to a “good family friend”‘

A mother has been accused of taking nude photos of her 13-year-old daughter to send to the teen’s 30-year-old boyfriend ‘to keep him happy’.

The mother, from Roosevelt, Utah, who has not been named to protect the identity of her daughter, allegedly knew the nude photographs would be sent to Daniel Dean Divine, a family friend.

The man, from Oregon, has now been charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony, and one count of enticing a minor over the Internet, a class A misdemeanour, after the shocking images came to light.

Divine, who was in a relationship with the girl, had bought her an iPhone and camera, according to The Salt Lake Tribune.

He had previously sent her shirtless photographs of himself and posed with a teddy bear she had bought him for Valentine’s Day.

The teen ‘realized Daniel was older and wanted to have sex so she took the photos just to keep him happy,’ according to a Duchesne County sheriff’s arrest warrant.

But the unnamed girl did not know how to work the iPhone so she asked her 35-year-old mother to take three nude photos of her in their bathroom.

The mother claims that she asked her daughter if she was sure about sending the photos.

She said that Divine and her daughter ‘were going to wait until she was 18 years old before they had a sexual relationship,’ according to court documents.

The girl’s mother has been charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony.

Divine was taken to the Deschutes County jail on Monday and is currently awaiting extradition to Utah.
