Want to sleep like a baby? Try the ‘womb chair’ that lets tired souls curl up in comfort
Maybe it’s because it felt as though you were taking a nap in a portaloo but sleep pods – whether in offices or airports – never really took off. Similarly, the Snuggie. Even though Rihanna gave it a try on the US chat show Ellen Degeneres, it never felt a particularly chic option. However, a ‘womb chair’ could be an entirely different story. Welcome to HUSH, a low-fi womb-shaped sleeper created by Design Museum ‘artist in residence’ Frejya Sewell. Sewell’s creation was inspired by the womb, is portable and designed to be set up anywhere one might fancy a little nap.
